Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question then we might already have answered it in our frequently asked questions. Have a look and see if we have. If not just contact us or if you think there is a question we have missed out then please let us know.

Is there a warranty on your computers?

Yes. All of our computers come with a free two year warranty as standard. This includes replacing any components that have failed during the two year period as well as covering the costs for any repairs that are required for the computer. We will also pay for shipping costs to get the computer back to us and then back to youonce the repairs are complete. If your computer has broken during the two year period and you require assistance and have not done anything to exclude your warranty then you can contact us at support@siliconbuild.co.uk or phone us and we will get back in contact with you to sort out the problems as soon as possible.

What if I have a problem after the warranty has ended?

You can still contact us for support after your warranty has ended and we will be more than happy to help you with any problems. However, costs of reapirs to the computer as well as shipping will not be covered by us. To contact us for any after-sale support then just email us at support@siliconbuild.co.uk

Am I eledgible for personal delivery and installation?

If you live in the New Forest area or live within a 10 mile radius of Ringwood (UK) then you are eledgible for free personal delivery and installation. All you have to do is select the “free personal delivery” dropdown under shipping options when you are on one of our computers option pages.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to all of the United Kingdom including Northern Ireland. Deliveries outside of England may cost considerably more. We currently do not deliver internationally. Our personal and free delivery service is available for customers living within a 10 mile radius of Ringwood. Our current standard delivery price of £15 includes next day delivery via a courier service on parcels up to 30Kg (note your parcel will not arrive the next day as we allow time for us to build the computer).

What is the cost of delivery?

The cost of delivery varies considerably depeneding on where you are located and the speed of your delivery. Below the table shows our delivery prices please note these may vary.

Is it possible to collect the computer from you?

Yes, if you would like to collect the computer from us rather than paying for any delivery costs then that is fine. Prior to ordering for your product you will have to email us at support@siliconbuild.co.uk to arrange a time for the pick up.

What’s in the box?

We currently only sell the base unit computer. Meaning in the box will be the desktop computer you ordered. This does not include any peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard or monitor. These will need to be purchased separately. We unfortanutely are currently unable to sell keyboards, mice and monitors. We also include any manuals and spare cables that came with the components.

What methods of payment are available?

We try to offer a variety of payment methods so you can choose what one most suits you. We strongly suggest you pay via PayPal and that is the only payment standard we accept for customers living outside of a 10 mile radius of Ringwood. With PayPal you can pay with your PayPal account or log in as a PayPal guest and use a credit or debit card. If however you live within a 10 mile radius of Ringwood we accept both cash and cheque however all payments must be made before the product is recieved. We will not begin to build your computer or process your order until payment has been recieved.

Is financing available?

Currently financing is not available.

How do I know you are a legitimate company?

Don’t be worried. We are a legitimate company. For a start we use PayPal’s secure checkout system so that your credit or debit card details and transaction details are secure as well as if there were to be any issues regarding not reciving any products PayPal will be able to help get your money back. What computer should I buy?

Below is a table that shows what each of our computers should be intended for. A crossrepresents that we would not reccomend this computer for the according use. A tick represents that the computer is suitable for the according use.

Please note that depending on what options you select for your computer it will be capable of different things. For more clarity and or advice please contact us.

Can I have a component thats not on the website?

Yes, we recognise that we can’t put every computer component on our website. Whilst we try to have as many different components as possible that we feel suit the computer best you can have a component that is not on our website. Just contact us by email or phone and tell us what component you would like. We will get back to you within 24hrs to inform you of the price of the computer and whether the component is compatible with the system.
